A resident of Slaughter, she died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her home. She was 82 years old and a native of Church Point.

Arrangements are pending with Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert Millet Ory. Daughter, Patricia Ory Fanguy and husband, Ed, Jr.; Baton Rouge . 3 sons, George R. Ory and wife Lucy; Albert V. Ory and wife, Michelle and Norman J. Ory, all of Slaughter.

3 sisters, Gloria H. Cline, River Ridge; Carolyn H. Blanchard, Walker and Ellen H. Broussard, Baton Rouge.

7 grandchildren, Shannon Ory Smith, Joey Ory, Brigette Ory Adcock, Daniel Millet Ory, Jessica Reddell Popovich, Camille Fanguy Dormady and Edison Fanguy III. And 3 great grandchildren.

She was an accountant and was retired from the Louisiana Department of Health and Human Resources as a Disbursement Officer. A tireless worker, Patty Jean was an outstanding homemaker, seamstress and cook. Often copied, but never duplicated was her grandchildren’s favorite Grandmothers “Famous” spaghetti and cheese.
