Obituary for Judy Carlyon Trim Underwood
"When I am gone; release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be thankful for all the wonderful years." A resident of Clinton and a native of Jones, she died on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at her home. She was 54. Visiting will be at Slaughter Baptist Church, Slaughter, on Monday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Basil Wicker. Interment will be in Feliciana Rest Cemetery in Slaughter. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bobby Lee Underwood; a daughter, Aletha Michelle Easley and companion Samuel Philpot; a son, Robert and wife Monica Smith Underwood; father, Clifton Trim; mother and stepfather, Grace and George Wolf; a sister, three brothers; and four grandchildren, Dillon Philpot, Janet Philpot, Erica Smith and Christopher Smith. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tanna Philpot; a sister and a brother. Memorial donations may be made to Charlet Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 287, Clinton, LA 70722.
