Obituary for Evelyn Mae Hargrove Naquin

A resident of Slaughter, she died Thursday, June 20, 2013. She was 88 years old. She was born in Abbeville on September 8, 1924. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm with a 7pm Rosary and continues on Monday, June 24, 2013 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary from 9:00am until 10am Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker She is survived by her 7 children, Wilfred J. "Sonney" Naquin, Jr.; Jimmie Naquin and wife, Rachel; Glen Paul Naquin and wife, Evelyn; Michael Naquin, Sr. and wife Karen; John W. "Zeke" Naquin and wife, Brenda; Peggy Naquin Parker and husband, Robert; and Sally Naquin. 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Sisters, Jeannette Folsom and Margaret Parrish; Brother, John L. Hargrove. Numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wilfred J. Naquin, Sr.; parents John L. Hargrove and Irene Hooks Hargrove Broussard and a brother, James Broussard. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was a member of St. John's Altar Society, J.C. Penney "Pals" and American Quarter Horse Association. Special thanks to Nurse Kathleen McLin and Aide Christy George of Hospice in His Care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for masses at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary or the American Cancer Society.
