Jerry M. Maggio, 67, the owner of M & M Electrical Contractors, died at his home in Denham Springs on Thursday, November 25, 2021. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am, conducted by Bishop Jared Bonnette, assisted by Nathan Britt. He is survived by his wife of 39 ½ years, Gayenel H. Maggio; one daughter, Jaime Mason and husband Robert “Robbie” Mason; three sons, Joseph “Joey” Maggio and wife Alex Maggio; Nicholas “Nick” Maggio and wife Candace; Garrett Maggio; one brother, John P. “Johnny” Maggio Jr. and wife Darlene; and seven grandchildren: Hunter Maggio, Jackson Maggio, Logan Maggio, Connor Delatte, Shelby Sanchez, Layton Sanchez, and Ty Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. Maggio and Jacqueline Becker Turner. Pallbearers will be Conner Delatte, Charles “Chad” Streat, Andrew Green, Nathan Biggerstaff, Britt Dunigan, Justin Miller, and Nick Maggio. He was a member of the International Electrical Workers Union Local 995. He proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
