Obituary for Evelyn Wesley

Evelyn Ferguson Wesley, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center in Baton Rouge.
She was born in Laurel, MS and was a longtime resident of St. Francisville, LA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary, from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Mike Clark. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, LA.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Normand and husband Ronald of Baton Rouge, sons, John Wesley and wife Cynthia of Texarkana, TX and Stephen "Steve" Wesley and wife Kathy of Baton Rouge, Sisters, Henrietta Harvey of St. Francisville, Sara Ard and husband George of McComb, MS and Marie Stephens of Columbia, TN . She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Normand, Laura Normand, John Andrew Wesley, Colleen Wesley Frame and Bryan Wesley and great grandchildren, Brennan Normand, Caroline Normand, Catherine Normand and Madison Frame and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Everett Wesley, parents, Henry and Arvada Ferguson, sister, Aline Ferguson and brother, Jack Ferguson.
Pallbearers will be Chris Normand, Bryan Wesley, John Andrew Wesley, Jeff Ard, Mark Ard, and David Harvey. She was a longtime member of St. Francisville United Methodist Church and was a 50 plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Julius Freyhan High School in St. Francisville. Evelyn was a very gifted and talented pianist and could play a wide variety of music genres by ear.
Special thanks to Peggy Gordon, her caregiver of nine years, and the nurses and staff at Nottingham for all the care she received.
