Obituary for Topsie Hall Sykes

Topsie Hall Sykes, born May 1, 1939, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Grace Nursing Home in Slaughter. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a resident of St. Francisville and born in Mt. Olive, MS. She was a retired teacher from Bains Elementary of the West Feliciana School System, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Woodville Baptist Church. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Graveside service and burial will be at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, 342 Pleasant Hill Road, Mt. Olive, MS 39119 on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am.
Topsie is survived by 3 sons, Richard "Dick" Sykes and wife, June; Gregory Sykes and wife, Denise and Andy Sykes,
7 grandchildren, Lindsey Netterville and spouse, Matthew; Ashley Grand and spouse, Todd; Madison Adams and spouse, Wesley; Colby Sykes, Ryan Sykes and spouse, Megan, Tyler Sykes and spouse, Randi, Erin Hoffmann and spouse, Jake.
7 Great grandchildren, Winn Netterville, Carter Adams, McKenzie Adams, Callen Adams, Graham Sykes, Adler Grace Grand and Alice Grand, two sisters, Patricia Hardin and spouse, Jimmy and Margie Butler and spouse, Ethel-Ray Butler.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Estus "Sonny" Sykes, mother, Myrtis Tuggle Hall, father, Luther Virgil Hall, Brothers, Don and Zollie Hall.
