Condolences

Condolence From: Frederick Green
Condolence: Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time the blessing of God's unfailing love will soften the hurt you're feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort and hope that it needs to heal. How? Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain, including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected here on earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this. Though I do not know your loved one, I am touched by your loss. My heartfelt condolences.

Condolence From: Leonard Richardson
Condolence: Please accept my condolence over Stella Ashford's passing. I remember Stella as a particularly dedicated graduate student in mathematics at LSU, when she was in one of my classes. Years after her doctoral graduation, I had the pleasure of teaching her daughter Katrina who was also a student at LSU. I was reminded of both Stella and Katrina when Katrina sent one of her students this spring to ask me questions about a book I had written. So I see that Stella's mathematical legacy continues through her daughter and through their students. Of course this is just one of many ways her contributions live on in many individuals.

Condolence From: Kevin M Stansbury
Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Ashford's passing. She was one of my professors in graduate school at SU, and I also had the privilege of teaching her grandson, Grady, at Zachary High. Dr. Ashford was one of the kindest and most intelligent people that have encountered. She was always supportive during my time in graduate school, and her passing is a great loss to all who knew her. Please know that all of her family will be in my prayers during this difficult time. May God Bless and comfort all who loved and admired her. Sincerely, Kevin Stansbury
