Obituary for Samuel Louis "Rusty" McQueen Jr.

Samuel Louis, (Rusty) McQueen, Jr., , a native of Jackson, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away March 18, 2018 at the age of 61. After about 40 years at the Port Hudson, LA plant, he retired from Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Rusty was devoted to family and friends and enjoyed sharing hunting, fishing, music, and tall tales with them.
He is preceded in death by parents Samuel McQueen, Sr. and Lucille Fluker McQueen Priddy and son Ruston McQueen. Survivors include sons Alex McQueen and Gavin McQueen, granddaughter Carson Wilcox, sisters Dawn McQueen-Rollins and Kathy McQueen, faithful canine friend Max, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., 4230 High St., Zachary, LA 70791. Visitation will begin at 5pm with service at 7pm. Memorial donations are suggested in lieu of flowers. Rusty’s favorite cause was St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
