Annie "Ruth" Weaver  Dugas
Annie “Ruth” Weaver Dugas died on Friday, March 9, 2018. She was 83 years old, a native of Jackson and a resident of Central. Ruth was a retired accountant from Villa Feliciana in Jackson. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 4pm until 6pm and continues on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 9am until service time at 10am conducted by Rev. Ed. Jelks. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Dugas, step son, Michael Dugas, step grandchild, William Dugas. Sister in law, Kathy Weaver, brother in law, CJ Dugas. Nieces, Joyce Overton, Pat Strain, Alexis Addy, Liz Wooster, Judy Fontenot, Vicki Simms, Dee Keslick, Paula Badeaux, Susan Bougere and Shelley Bradford. Nephews, Mitch Gautreaux, Jerry Gautreaux, Mike Sistrunk, Rob Dugas, Ronnie McConnell, Stephen Dugas, Morris Needham, Trae Weaver and Scott Icenogle. Numerous great nieces and great nephews as well as many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Annie Ruth Higgins Weaver, sisters, Lois Sistrunk, Mildred Dansby, Hilda Smith, and Mary Lea Needham. Brother, Charles Weaver, Jr., brother in law, Bobby Dugas, sister in law, Evelyn Connell and nephew, Gary Cooper. Pallbearers will be Keith Wooster, Kyle Wooster, Morris Needham, Trae Weaver, Jerry Gautreaux and Michael Dugas. Ruth is also survived by her beloved dog, Maggie Mae. Ruth was a 1952 graduate of McKowen High School. She loved to cook and enjoyed traveling and was a true friend.
