Obituary for Edwin Arthur "Ed" Freeman Jr.

Edwin "Ed" Arthur Freeman, Jr., age 74, beloved father and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was a resident of Norwood. He retired in 2004 from his position as Director of Health and Human Resources Southeastern Louisiana Region. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Presbyterian Church in Norwood from 9: 00 am until service time at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Ed Jelks. Burial will follow in Norwood Cemetery, Norwood. Ed is survived by his brother, Jerry G. Freeman, Children, Thomas R. Freeman and Troy and Sandi Freeman, Grandchildren, Megan Freeman, Sarah Freeman and fiancée Tory Neely, Great grandchildren, Raelyn McGrew, Troy Villavaso, Charlea Neely, and Elijah Sullivan. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Edwin Arthur Freeman Sr., mother, Roberta Chase Freeman and son, Timothy Paul Freeman. Pallbearers will be Thomas R. (T.Ray Freeman), Troy Bryant Freeman, Jerry Sylvester, John Chase, John T. Chase and Andrew Chase. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry G. Freeman, Henry B. Chase, Dewey DeLee, Don Kilborne, Henry Andrews, Wade A. Rettig, Woody Parnell and Butch Trahan. A most special recognition to Ed's two aunts, Miss Grace Chase and the late Miss Emily Chase for the kind support and cheer their visits always brought to him. He was an avid fisherman and rabbit hunter. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
