Obituary for Addie Jane Stephens (Trantham)

February 20, 2018 at 8:03 am Addie Jane “Sugie” Stephens was reunited in heaven with her parents Robert Levi Trantham and Eva Gilstrap Trantham, her sisters Betty Files and Mayfair Burnett, her brother Robert Levi Trantham Jr., her son James R. “Jimmy” Stephens, and her granddaughter Jennifer Hunt. What a celebration that must be! We commemorate her life and hold precious and dear every lesson she taught us, and feel blessed and thankful for every given moment we had with her. She was born in Kilgore Texas on February 11, 1938 and met her husband of 62 years, James Fenner Stephens, born June 21, 1937, in his birthplace, Silsbee Texas. They married June 11, 1955 and built this beautiful family together. She is survived by her oldest daughter Sherlyn and her husband Jeffrey V. Hunt; their children Vaughn Hunt, Danielle and husband Paul Johnson, Lana and husband Myrtis Hales, III. Daughter-in-law Brenda Stephens Metcalfe; her children Stephanie and husband Kiley Persick, Jamie and husband Ryan Moock, and Britanee Metcalfe. Son Mitchell F. Stephens. Daughter Carrie and her husband Steven P. Carbo; their children Krista and husband James Nelson, Nicholas Carbo, and Gabrielle Carbo. Daughter Kay and her husband Kevin Ellzey; children Shea and husband Trey Malbreaugh, Kristen and husband Beau Dunn, Kaylee and husband Logan Maglone, Kathryn Tolar and Jay Ellzey. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, with two on the way. Her life was a gift we will treasure always.
