Obituary for Gary Wayne "GW Oscar" Chelette
On Thursday, January 11, 2018 Gary “GW” “Oscar” Wayne Chelette gained his Angel Wings unexpectedly at the age of 63. He was born April 7, 1954 in Bunkie, La. and resided in Greenwell Springs, La.. Gary retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 41 years of hard work , dedication and enjoyed meeting the best work family he had. Gary lived life for his Sons, Grandchildren and Family. A quite soft hearted person that would give you the shirt off his back or open up his home to you and welcome you into his family will be missed by many. He was the Son of the late Clayton Chelette and the Late Clemence Lemoine Chelette. Father of the late Blake “Big Blake” Aron Chelette Sr. and Jarod “J-ROD” Michael Chelette. Father N Law of Sabrina Creppel and Shantae Grabert. Grandfather of Blake “P-Nut” Aron Chelette Jr., Alyssa “Sissy” Blake Chelette, Gaige Michael Chelette and Baylen “BW” Wayne Chelette. Brother of Karen Chelette Thomas (Ricky Thomas) and Mark Anthony Chelette (Terry Chelette). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he loved dearly. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the services at Charlet Funeral Home, 4230 High St., Zachary, La. 70791 on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with services at 11:00am. Followed by a burial at Green Oaks Cemetery, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, La. 70815.
