William "Billy" Irl Gant IV, 58, a resident of Port Allen and born in Clinton, passed away suddenly on January 9, 2018. He was a service technician for Bayou Transportation for 9 years. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Clinton United Methodist Church from 11:00 am until memorial service at 2:00 pm conducted by Rev. Gray Pearson.
He is survived by his companion of 9 years, Cheryl Hebert and her sons, Justin and Jared Hebert, daughters, Khristina Gant and Katy Gant, parents, William Irl Gant III and Joyce Haynes Gant, brothers, Barry Gant and wife Cindy and Brannon Gant and wife Brandy and grandson, Laine Heath. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Irl Gant Jr. and Temple Gant and maternal grandparents, Allen D. Haynes and Othella Haynes. Horses and Harleys were his passion. He loved long road trips on his bike, camping and trailriding with his friends.
