"Sally” Segraves, longtime owner of Ace Industrial Supply in Baton Rouge, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. She was 90 years old. Born in Franklin County Ohio and a long time resident of Zachary Louisiana.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 from 5 pm until 8 pm and continues on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 from 11 am until service at 1 pm conducted by Bishop Bruce Pomroy. Burial will be in Segraves Family Cemetery, Slaughter La..
"Maw Maw Sally" is survived by her son, Ralph “Pappy” Segraves. Grandchildren, Gordon and Amber Segraves, Sarah and Chris Wade, Michael and Courtney Segraves and Jonathan Segraves. Four great grandchildren, Sophie-Grace, Madison, Molly, Maddox Segraves with another great grandson due in March 2018. Two sisters, Madge Mikolaitis and Hazel Rife and former daughter in law, Beverly Forbes Williston.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene “Gene” Segraves, a son, Gregory Edward Segraves, her parents John and Martha White, along with 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Danny Forbes, Kevin McCartney, Patrick Tate, Chris Wade, Huey Haley and Randy Aucoin. Honorary pallbearers Scott Rogillio and Mike Mikolaitis.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime volunteer at the USS Kidd and many other social and charitable organizations. She had a lifetime filled with helping many people, traveling the world, and gaining many wonderful friends and memories throughout her life's journey. She loved her family beyond measure. Maw-Maw lived out the last several years being taken care of by her grandson Gordon and is wife Amber whom she loved and raised like her own son. She was a hard working women that contributed to her successful business for over 50 years.
