Obituary for John Kenneth Reese

A dedicated husband and loving father, “Poppa” and friend, he died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. He was 59 years old and a resident of Ethel. He is a US Army veteran. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm with a service at 7pm conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial will be at Rutledge Pike Baptist Church Cemetery in Corryton, TN. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy Reese, a daughter, Joanna Reese, and a son, Jonathan Reese and wife, Erin. A grandson, Gunnar Reese. 3 sisters, Frances Taylor, Patricia King and Nancy Reese and an aunt, Frankie Good. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Clarence and Mary Joann Reese, a sister, Sandra Williams and 3 brothers, Carrol, Ronnie and Gary Reese. John was an avid outdoorsman.
