Obituary for Harry W. Cornelius

Harry W. Cornelius, 76, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was retired, after working for over 40 years as a pipefitter with Local 198. Visitation will be at Galilee Baptist Church in Zachary, LA on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm and then on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from 9am until funeral services at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Andrew Williams. Burial will be in the Galilee Church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Browning Cornelius; two sons: Michael W. Cornelius and his wife Tracy H. Cornelius of Ventress, LA; Jeffery W. Cornelius and his wife Mary F. Cornelius of Zachary, LA; one brother, Kenneth W. Cornelius and his wife Doris of Slaughter; three grandchildren: Carter, Kate, and Houston; and four great-grandchildren: Hollis, Chance, Brooklyn, and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Pearl Cornelius; and brother James W. Cornelius. Pallbearers will be Doug Cornelius, Cole Cornelius, Clay Cornelius, Charlie Gregoire, Kent Morris, Don Ed Hughes, Brad Hughes, and Houston Cornelius. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School class. He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church for 54 years. He was also a member of the Pride Farm Club.
