Obituary for William Randall "Randy" Peay

William Randall Peay, born on September 8, 1946, to Leland and Carmen Peay in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and resided in Clinton, Louisiana, until his death at the age of 71 on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father Leland Peay. He is survived by his mother Carmen Evans Peay, wife Patricia Jackson Peay; his previous wife and mother of his children June Burwell Peay; daughter Brooke, son Will (Catherine); grandson Tanner; brother James Lee Peay (Suzanne); and stepchildren Amanda Hofstetter (Brad) , Clark Murray, Lydia Holland (Britton), Camille Murray and Lawrence H. Ellis, III (Tiffany). In 1964 Randy graduated from Clinton High School and in 1969 he graduated from Louisiana State University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Randy joined the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand in Dallas where he worked until opening his own practice, first in Baton Rouge and then in Clinton. Randy was a member of Clinton Presbyterian Church. Randy loved his family, his many friends, and LSU football and baseball, being those teams' most ardent fan. Memorial Visitation will be on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Clinton Presbyterian Church, 11023 Bank Street, Clinton LA, from 4 pm until Memorial Service at 7 pm conducted by Rev. Dr. Bill Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Mathis, John Irwin Stewart, Mike Felps, Dr. John Piker, McDuffie Herrod, Preston Kennedy, Dr. Paul Jackson Jr., and Lee Allen Haynes. Special thanks to Darold Williams. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America or Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Church USA, PO Box 643700, Pittsburg, PA 15264-3700.
