Obituary for Artha "Jackie" Henry

Artha "Jackie" Gilbert Henry, 72, a resident of Ethel and born in Sugartown, died on Friday, November 10, 2017. She was a retired Registered Nurse with 37 plus years of service to Villa Feliciana Medical Complex. Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 6471 Highway 953, Jackson, LA 70748, from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Joey Hoyt. Burial will follow in Plank Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Crystal Henry Norman and significant other, Shane Travasos, sons, Chris Henry and wife, Cheryl and Al "T" Henry and wife, Jewelynn, sister, Lucille Mills and husband, Wayne Kittrell, foster sister, Clella Mae and husband Bruce Smith, foster brother, Virgil McDonald, grandchildren, Justin Henry and wife Katy, Chandler, Seth and Chase Norman and their father, Terry "Tiger" Norman, Jr., great grandchildren, Natalie Robertson and Mallorie Robertson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Henry Sr., baby daughter, sisters, Mavis Pierce and Laura Gilbert, brothers, David and Gerald Gilbert and Prentice Taylor, mother and father, Tazsey and Melvin Gilbert, foster parents, Pearl and William McDonald.
Pallbearers will be her sons, grandsons, Ricky Henry and Ronnie Harvin. Special thanks to Lighthouse Church family, Daisy Norman, Bea Snowden and Phyllis Harvin, Dr. Kakarala, nurses, Joanna and Golden and Lane Regional Medical Hospital.
