Obituary for James William "Billy" Whetstone

James William “Billy” Whetstone, 77, a native of Centreville, MS and a resident of St. Francisville, died on Monday, October 2, 2017. He was retired, after working for over 45 years as the owner and operator of Billy’s Fish Market of Port Hudson. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9am until funeral services at 10am. Graveside services will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville, MS at 12noon. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Gale Dippel and her husband Scott Edward Dippel of St. Francisville; two sons: Billy Edward Whetstone and his wife Carolyn of Port Hudson; Daryl Whetstone and his wife Traci of St. Francisville; one sister Winnie Bee; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Whetstone; four brothers and one sister.
