Josephine M. Corona, a resident of Zachary, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 99. She was the greatest mother, wife and grandmother in the world. Her tremendous love for family and others can’t be expressed by words. She spent her life working exceptionally hard to care for her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Josephine is survived by her five children; son, Tony Corona, Jr. and wife Gloria Corona, daughter, Annie Carter and husband Ira Carter, son, Joe Corona and wife Diane Corona, son, Pete Corona, and daughter, Catherine Woolam and husband Floyd Woolam; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Balinski. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Tony Corona, Sr., daughter Linda Corona-Brown, grandchildren; Kristi Crain and Charlie Brown, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary. Visitation will continue Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 am until service at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Zachary. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker.
