Miriam S. Ware, “Nanny”, 78, a resident of Jackson, LA, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was retired, after working for the Feliciana Forensic Facility and East Louisiana State Hospital for over 32 years. Memorial service will be on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 4305 Felix Lee Road in Ethel, LA from 1pm until 3pm.

She is survived by three daughters, Violet Wall and her husband David W. Wall of Ethel, LA; Barbara Winters of Jackson, LA; Lily McGrath of Jackson, LA; two brothers, Aaron Schwartz and his wife Ivy Schwartz of Moss Bluff, LA; J.R. Schwartz of Slaughter, LA; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Sanders Ware; son James Eugene Ware; four sisters and three brothers.

She enjoyed playing spades and bingo, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Jackson First Baptist Church and she served as the President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
