Campsite

My favorite story (told to me about Jimmy) would have to be when he had his home raised to avoid the constant threat of flooding...the insurance company advised Jimmy that, because of the added height, the home no longer qualified under his homeowners policy and would have to be insured as a camp: being the heavy equipment operator he was and one not to be daunted, he simply hauled in and piled dirt under the house to raise the levels from camp to homeowner height. I have laughed about and repeated this story for y e a r s! While I did not hear this directly from him, it sounded enough like the Jimmy I met in my pre-teens (when his mom and my parents were close friends in Baton Rouge) to be fact...it can definitely be said I was one of those people he left an impression on.
