Obituary for Rita Fern Burns Landry
Rita Fern Burns Landry, 83, a resident of Gurley, LA, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017. She was a native of Hobart, LA. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm. On Thursday, July 20, 2017, there will be a graveside service at 11am by Father Rich Luberti, CSSR at the Landry Family Cemetery 5733 Hwy 963, Ethel, LA. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph M. Landry, Jr.; one daughter, Tracy Peters and her husband Donnie of Gurley; three sons, Audie Landry of Gurley; Joseph Shane Landry and wife Janet of Ethel; Kyle Landry and Amanda of Ethel; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Strickland of Baton Rouge; Margaret Ardoin of Baton Rouge; ten grandchildren: Royce Landry, Ashley Boyd, Colby Peters, Tanner Landry, Rainey Landry, Kalyn Landry, Jacob Landry, Leslie Landry, Karalene Landry, and Collin Landry; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Lena Burns and six siblings. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Jackson, LA. She will be remembered as a caregiver.
