The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Ramsey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Raymond Berthelot
Condolence: Gary was a big man with a big heart whose passing has left a hole in the fabric of Louisiana State Parks. Steadfast in the spirit, a gentle giant for so many of our kids, his time with us was a true blessing. Love and prayers to the family.

Condolence From: Cleve Hardman
Condolence: I’ve had the privilege of working with Gary for the last 13 years. In that time he came to be a close friend and a daily sounding board for discussion of current events – particularly sports. He lived his life centered focused on service to others through his beloved church and their outreach programs, to coaching youth basketball, and to being the “go to” person for all things related to the Louisiana Office of State Parks. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
