Obituary for Barbara Jean DeLee (Sayle)

Barbara Jean Sayle DeLee was called to her heavenly home on March 25, 2017 in Collierville, TN at the age of 78.
Barbara is survived by her children, Holly DeLee, Paul DeLee and wife Brenda of Collierville and Robert DeLee Jr. and wife Anna of Clinton, LA, siblings, Ricky Sayle and wife Kay of Asheville, NC, Krista Push of Mountain View, AR and Katherine Doyle and husband Keith of Collierville, TN. Grandchildren, Benjamin Pugh, Natalie Holliday, Brandi DeLee, Josh DeLee, Chet DeLee, Chelsey DeLee Phillips, Lacey DeLee Lemons, Lauren DeLee McCoy, Caleb DeLee, and Chase DeLee and 13 Great grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Eugene Sr. and Loudie Virginia Cain Sayle, husband Robert "Bobby" Edward DeLee Sr., a son, Hugh Kenner DeLee, siblings, Harry Eugene Sayle Jr. and Harriet K. Poff.
Barbara was born in Memphis, TN on June 15, 1938. She attended Messick High School. She married Robert "Bobby" DeLee Sr. on September 23, 1956. They were married for 53 years. Barbara was a devout christian and would help out anyone in need. She loved her family dearly. She was a wonderful cook, storyteller and artist. She will be remembered as a spunky woman with a beautiful smile and a giving heart.
The visitation is scheduled on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at Clear Creek Methodist Church in Clinton, LA. The graveside service will follow immediately after. The pallbearers will be Benjamin Pugh, Chet DeLee, Chase DeLee, Rim Schmidt, Caleb Schmidt, Glenn DeLee and honorary, Chris Hurst.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN. The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Reynolds Hospice House for their care and dedication.
