Obituary for Claude Ray Mount

Claude Ray Mount, 69, a resident of Port Hudson, LA, died on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his home. He was self employed, running Claude Ray Mount, Inc. for over twenty years. He was a native of Parkersburg, WV. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm and then on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the St. Francisville First Baptist Church from 10am until funeral services at 11:30am, conducted by his brother-in-law Pastor Larry Louks. Burial will be in Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debbie Louks Mount; two daughters, Lisa Carter and husband Alan Carter of Denham Springs, LA; Chaille Mount of New Orleans, LA; two sons, Jerry “Jay” Rodriguez of New Orleans, LA; Aaron Rodriguez of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Janet LaBruyere and her husband Ed LaBruyere of Minden, LA; and four grandchildren: Hunter Carter, Savannah Carter, Cooper Rodriguez, and Bennett Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Mount; his mother Roxie Park Cannon; his sister Marian Bjorklund; and grandson Tyler Carter. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was proud to have served the Lord as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher in his church. He received the following degrees: Bachelors of Physics, Master of Mechanical Engineering, and Doctorate of Industrial Engineering. He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed flying radio-controlled planes, playing with his grandchildren, and travelling with his family.
