Geraldine Thomas "Geri"  Ray
A resident of Baker for 59 years, she died Monday, February 20, 2017. She was 89 years old and a native of Marthaville, LA.
Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Rev. Gene Rives and Pastor Randy Ray.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jimmie L. Ray, 2 sons, David Ray and wife, Candy Garner Ray and Dewayne Ray and wife, Deborah Reine Ray.
A sister, Eva Mae Welch and husband, Joe Ben Welch.
5 grandchildren, Laurie Ray, David Lee Ray, Kimberly Martin, Michael Ray and Joseph Ray. 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mabel Thomas, brother, Garland and sisters, Helen Nolan and Ruby Seymour.
Pallbearers will be David Lee Ray, Michael Ray, Joseph Ray, Rivers Jones and Ben Ray.
She was a member of Baker United Methodist Church, serving the Lord in many ways. She was also a volunteer “Pink Lady” and Lane Memorial Hospital in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
