Obituary for Harold Lloyd Smith

Harold Lloyd Smith, 85, born in Yazoo City, MS and a resident of Central, passed away and went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was retired from Crown Zellerbach with 28 years of service.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8: 00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Galilee Baptist Church from 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am conducted by Bro. Andrew Williams and Bro. Mike Ferguson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Smith, sons, Donald Smith of Denham Springs and Billy Smith and wife Diane of Ruston, brothers, Earl Smith and wife Dot of Central and Roy Smith and wife Soledad Mujica of Baton Rouge, grandchildren, Dusty Smith, Sauvannah Smith and Tabitha Smith and great grandchildren, Kallie Miller and Cole Miller.
Harold is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Harold Smith, Father, Ola Dale Smith, Mother, Rosa Pearl Smith, Sister, Vera Scott and brother, L.D. Smith.
Pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Dusty Smith, Aaron Miller, Michael Neal Carter, Donnie Smith, Gene Smith, Ira Carter, Jr. and Clyde Ballard.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
