Walls, Richard "Rick" Lane, 61, a resident of Slaughter, LA and born in Pascagoula, MS, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home. He was a retired Welder and Pipefitter from Local #198.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 10: 00 am until service time at 12:00 noon conducted by Rev. Lee Shipp. Burial will follow in Azalea Rest Cemetery.
Rick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Clark Walls, daughters, Jamie Welch and husband Jacob of Central and Christy Merchant and husband Jason of Livingston, Sisters, Joann Gober and husband Billy of Patterson, Marylin Forsman and husband John of Fairhope, AL, brothers, Mitchell Walls and wife Cecelia of Houston, TX, Perry Walls and wife Haidee of Pineville and Michael Walls of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jackie Welch, Chase Welch, Caleb Welch, Austin Armstrong, Dalton Armstrong, Alli Welch, Taylor Merchant, Ashley Merchant and Amber Merchant.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Walls, Mother, Lillie Walls and brothers, Ronnie Walls and Donnie Walls.
Pallbearers will be Jason Merchant, Jacob Welch, Chase Welch, Austin Armstrong, Caleb Welch, Dalton Armstrong and Taylor Merchant.
