Berton Hues Rogers, 80, born in Red Cross, LA, died on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home in Jackson, LA. He was a retired maintenance supervisor from East LA State Hospital with 32 years of service.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Bro. Ed Jelks. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery.
Berton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois Smith Rogers, daughters, Sheryl Landry of Baton Rouge, LA, Karen Fourroux of Jackson,LA, son, Chris Rogers and wife, Jan of Watson, LA, sister, Rita Hamilton and husband Clinton of Gibsland, LA and brother, Russell Aull and wife, Virgie of Lucedale, MS. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Casey Parker, Melissa Landry, Albert Fourroux, Brandon Rogers and Travis Rogers and eight great grandchildren, Deondrae Green, Draelon Parker, Dezmin Parker, Derigez Parker, Maleki Fourroux, Tajh Fourroux, Nevaeh Fourroux and Cayenne Fourroux.
​Berton was preceded in death by his father, Adrian Milam Rogers and mother, Aliska Stella Lartigue Rucker.
Pallbearers will be Chris Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Deondrae Green​, Albert Fourroux, Draelon Parker and Mark Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers are Travis Rogers, Dezmin Parker, Linton Manuel, Butch Trahan, Rick Hurst, Robert Walker and Mark Dousay.
