Obituary for Douglas Eugene "Pops" LeCoq

Douglas Eugene “Pops” LeCoq, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend has gone to be with our Lord on October 18, 2016. Douglas was a native of Denham Springs, Louisiana, born in 1948 and a graduate of Central High School. He went on to retire from Dow Chemical. Doug resided in Zachary with his wife Becky and his favorite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved playing with his granddaughter “Little Princess” and was a regular in the stands watching his grandsons play football and baseball. He was dearly loved by all of the team.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca “Becky” LeCoq, son Brad and wife Leslie, son Chip and wife Lisa, grandchildren Trenton, Brennon, Deon and Emelia “Emmi K”, sister DiAnne Faust and husband Mel, sister Gail LeCoq, sister Cindy Abbott and husband Jeff, and brother Phillip LeCoq and wife Mary Kay.
Douglas is preceded in death by his beloved grandson Peyton LeCoq, mother Lela Mae Morgan, father Floyd LeCoq, grandparents Mamie and Eugene Morgan and Phillip and Dolce LeCoq, mother-in-law Eunice Bankston Schmidt and father-in-law William “Bill” Schmidt.
Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary from 1pm until service at 3pm conducted by Bro. Robert Reames.
