Obituary for Elaine Foster "Toad " Callenius
Callenius, Elaine "Toad" Foster, age 83, passed away at her home in Clinton, on October 6, 2016 and was reunited with her loving husband. She was born in Greensburg, LA on January 19, 1933, to Jeff & Julia Foster.
She attended Greensburg High School, and worked as a kindergarten teacher. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and "Mamo". She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, and her dog, "Jinga".
Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walt Callenius,Sr., parents, Jeff & Julia Foster, brothers, Thomas & Joseph Foster, sisters, Ida Paxton, Janie Reeves, Myrtle Williams, Ruby Rayborn, Mattie Hooge, and Lea Fabre.
Elaine is survived by 4 children, Dian Callenius, Walt Callenius, Jr. & wife, Sandy, Debby Elaine Callenius, Bill Callenius & wife, Paula; sister, Louise Williams;9 grandchildren, Kirk Meyer, Robin Preston, Kaneen Devine, Millie Tanner, Walt Callenius III, Shawn Callenius, Nicole Stalvey, Wendy Hayes, Carrera Padilla; 18 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Etheridge, Talya & Angelyna DeLaCasas, Rikki Preston, Josilynn Preston, Cassidy Devine, Blake, Kylee & Brody Tanner, Angel & Trinity Callenius, Kyle & Cody Hayes, Kyle, Caleb & Skyler Stalvey, Oscar & Olivia Padilla;
1 great-great grandson, Robert Christopher McGrath.
Elaine will be laying in state on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church 11007 Plank Road, Clinton, LA, Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from
11:00 am until service at 12noon, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
