Lesly Joy  Gautreau (Hodges)
Lesly Joy Hodges Gautreau was taken too soon from the lives of all who loved her on July 17, 2016. Joy was a native of Clinton, Louisiana and resided in Smryna, Georgia. Joy graduated from Silliman Institute in Clinton, LA and earned her undergraduate degree and MSW from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a long-term employee of Delta Airlines as a flight attendant. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her infant brother, Jack Hodges, Jr., and her beloved companion of 14 years, Joy’s girl Jodie. She is survived by her father, Jack N. Hodges and his wife and Joy’s stepmother, Janet Hodges, her mother Judith L. Jackson and her companion Barbara Nunnery. She is also survived by her sisters, Jill Hodges and her companion Robin Potter, Jane Hodges Coulter and her companion, Abraham Hernandez Solis, Kimberly Hodges Laschenski and her husband Dave and her brother Devon Hodges and his wife Jennifer, her step-Grandfather, Frank E. Dedman, Sr., her life-long friend, Traci Pipes Butler and her god-children Tristan and Kingsley Butler, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Joy loved running, traveling, the Episcopal Church and animals, especially dogs. Services are to be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Clinton, LA, followed by internment at the Masonic Cemetery in Clinton, LA. Visitation is Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with services following. Services will be performed by Father Don Brown. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her name to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
