Betty Blount Fletcher, “Lucy”, 77, a resident of Jackson, LA, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her home, due to natural causes. She was retired, after working for the State of Louisiana for over thirty years. Her visitation will be on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Apostolic Tabernacle of the Felicianas from 5pm until 9pm and then on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 10am until funeral services at 1pm, conducted by Pastor Chad Mills, Brother Scott Sagely, and Brother Noah Sagely. Burial will be at the Second Baptist Cemetery in Jackson, LA. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry “Kenny” Fletcher; one daughter, Rita Fletcher Toussaint and her husband David of Zachary; one son, Charles “Chuck” Fletcher of Jackson; three sisters, Holly Woodward, Margie Trahan, and Sally Oldham; four grandchildren, Melinda Banks, Steve Sagely II, Scott Sagely, James “Hank” Fletcher; ten great-grandchildren, Crystal Robinson, Ashley Gardner, Chassidy Hoyt, Destiny Dixon, Shaelyn Sagely, Noah Sagely, Alyssa Fletcher, Breanna Fletcher, Kaden Fletcher, and Dakota Fletcher; great-great grandchildren McKenzie Robinson, Michael “Mikey” Robinson, Aubrea Hoyt, and Ava Hoyt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Roy W. Blount and Alma Blount; brother Daniel Blount; granddaughter Teconna Fletcher. Pallbearers will be Steve Sagely II, Hank Fletcher, Waylan “JR” Hoyt, Scott Sagely, Warren Banks, and Michael Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Melinda Sagely Banks, Curtis Fletcher, Jake “Walter” Woodward, Darrell “Dewayne” Trahan, Ronald “Rocky” Trahan, David Toussaint and Matthew Gardner. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of the Felicianas. Special thanks to her grandsons who were a major help caring for her while she transitioned. Primary caregiver, her grandson, Steve, is appreciated for complete care 24/7 3 weeks.
