Donald Sherwin  Tynes
A resident of St. Francisville and a native of Bogalusa, he died, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home. He was 69 and was retired from Local 669. He was a US Navy veteran. Visiting will be at First Baptist Church of St. Francisville on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm And continues on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Rev. Joe Ratcliff. Burial will be in Star Hill Cemetery, St. Francisville.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Annette Roe Tynes. 2 Children, Donna Tynes Gibbon and husband, Kirk of St. Francisville and Kevin Tynes and Barbra Dear of Summitt MS.
2 brothers, Lawrence Tynes and wife, Sandra of Sun, and Steve Tynes of Zachary.
9 grandchildren, Zachary Felps, Leslie Hershberger, Bud Dear, Lillie Carlton, Ty Beauchamp, Toler Beauchamp, Jolee Beauchamp, Ashton Gibbon and Grant Gibbon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Tynes and Eva Berry and a grandson, Tyler Felps.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Tynes, Zachary Felps, Ty Beauchamp, Toler Beauchamp, Russell Beauchamp and Bud Dear. Honorary pallbearer is Bill Laney.
He was graduate of Bogalusa High School and played football for Southeastern Louisiana College. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a member of First Baptist Church of St. Francisville.
