Henry Thompson Young, 73, a longtime resident of Zachary, LA died on December 22nd 2015. He was retired, after working as an operator for Georgia Gulf for 35 years and a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary, LA from 9:30am until funeral services at 10:30am, conducted by Fr. Jeff Bayhi. Burial will be at Young Family Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Hidalgo Young; two sons: Henry Todd Young and his wife Tanda Chastant Young of St. Francisville, LA; Christopher Barber Young Sr and his wife Nicole Plauche Young of Zachary, LA; three grandchildren: Morgan Elizabeth Young, Anne Claire Young, and Christopher Barber Young Jr., a brother David Young and his wife Wilda of Greensboro, NC and a sister LaMae Strange and her husband Tommy of Todd, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Barber Young and Earla Thompson Young. Pallbearers will be Christopher Young, David Young, Todd Young, Ned Hidalgo, Michael Strange, Clayton Hidalgo, and Nicholas Hidalgo.
