Obituary for Frank Hagen Easley Sr.

“This is not a funeral - it is a transition.” These words were penned by Bro. Easley several weeks before he graduated to his heavenly home. Having full confidence in God’s divine Word, he had a true revelation that when he laid his earthly body down it was only to start his new life in the presence of Almighty God. His favorite scripture of late was 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV) “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” At the age of 80, Frank Hagen Easley, Sr., most affectionately known as Bro. Easley by many, laid his earthly body down to join the saints who have gone before. Bro. Easley pastored Inter-Faith Christian Assembly in Slaughter, LA for almost 40 years where he ministered to countless people and shared the love of Jesus unconditionally. Only eternity can tell the impact he had on the many he came into contact with. He is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters: Frank Hagen Jr. and Beryl Easley, Lola and Myron Hall, Desaree Broussard and Maranatha Easley. He leaves a godly heritage of grandchildren: Jacob Hall, Sharon Ferguson, Jeff Hall, Chris Hall, Stephen Hall, Billie Jo Oubre, Caleb Easley, Hannah Singletary, Dwayne Hall, Magen Spurlock, Natalie Broussard, Nathaniel Broussard and Alexandria Easley. He was also blessed with 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by the love of his life Ginger Dee Easley, his daughter Brenda Easley Hall, his parents Thomas and Grace Easley and siblings Carl Easley, Robert Easley and Grace Easley Schmieder. Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Passion Connection Church located at 9250 Highway 19 in Slaughter, LA. Visitation will be held 9:00am - 11:00am with services at 11:00am. Services will be conducted by Pastor Reggie Willcutt, Dwayne Hall and Jacob Hall. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hall, Jacob Hall, Caleb Easley, Jay Barksdale, Jerry Knight and Michael Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers Ray Johnson, Nathaniel Broussard and Trey Oubre.
