Obituary for Karen Jean Noland

Born April 28, 1955. Following a 41-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Karen died peacefully on December 12, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA. Karen is survived by her brothers, Edwin Robert Noland, Jr. and his wife Marsha; Elton Ronald Noland and his wife Rachelle; 2 nieces, Christie Reinhardt and Lisa Whittington and 3 nephews, Edwin Noland III, Erik Noland, and Ethan Noland. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.R. Noland and Ethel Dorhauer Noland. She will be missed by Rusty, her faithful little poodle and constant companion. She was a proud graduate of LSU and a faithful Tiger fan. Karen was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and was also ministered to during her illness by Pastor Jim Gross of Port Hudson Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, inc. in Zachary, LA on Sunday, 14, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm and then Monday, at Charlet Funeral Home, inc. in Zachary from 9am until funeral services at 11am, conducted by Bro. Jim Gross. Interment will be in Clear Creek Methodist Church Cemetery in Felixville near Clinton, LA. Pallbearers will be Donald Ray Noland, Edwin Noland, Erik Noland, Ethan Noland, Vance Noland, and Ken Dorhauer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
