Holice Toler "Bubby"  Jackson Jr.
A lifelong resident of Clinton, he died Monday, August 18, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He was 71 years old and former assessor of East Feliciana Parish with 16 years of service. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., in Clinton on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 5 pm until 8 pm and continues on Thursday. August 21, 2014, from 9 am until service at 11 am. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. He is survived by his sons, Jeffery Charles Jackson, John Lee Jackson and wife, Carla, and Jason Guy Jackson. Step Children, Tatum Vince, Madeline Hemba and John Coty Larimore. Sisters, Judith Lee Jackson, Jeanne Rodriguez and Janelle Young and husband, Rick. Former daughter in law, Tesha Ellen Jackson. 6 grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Jackson, Hayden Elizabeth Jackson, John Holice Jackson, Caleb Jordan Jackson, Jacob Cole Jackson and Jack Cameron Jackson. Bubby is also survived by a very dear friend and his care giver, Bonnie Larimore. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Linda Kay Jackson, parents, "Top" and Jo Jackson and a daughter in law, Sabrina Jackson. Pallbearers will be John Jackson, Jason Jackson, Clint Hurst, Bucky Powell, Jonathan Rodriguez, Charlie Gardner, John Coty Larimore and Rick Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Jackson, Dallas Grice, Bobby Hammons, Dewey DeLee and Charles Frank Haynes. Special thanks to the entire staff at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital especially Gabe and Paulette for all of your care and compassion. Bubby loved cooking and photography. He enjoyed sitting in the outdoors for hours and videoing wildlife. Bubby was a 1959 graduate of Clinton High School and was a great football player. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may to made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 9457 Brookline Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
