Obituary for Cynthia Varnado "Cindy" Young

A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all she met, she died peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at her home in West Feliciana. She was 54. Visitation at Red Bluff Baptist Church, Greensburg, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Clark. Burial will be in Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery, Greensburg. Survived by her husband of 29 years, Gary Young; two sons, Dustin Young and Davin Young; beloved pets, Daisy, Kenny and Della; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Buck Stewart, Baton Rouge, and Sandra and Billy Perkins, Clinton; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jerry A. and Darlene Varnado, Robert Varnado, Frank A. and Vicky Varnado, and Jimmy and Carmen Varnado, all of Greensburg. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Audrey Varnado; a sister, Rhonda Dugas; and a nephew, Douglas Garner. Pallbearers will be Mark Stewart, Scott Stewart, Jeremy Varnado, Jonathon Varnado, Josh Varnado, Michael Dugas, and her nephews, Tyler and Corey Varnado. Honorary pallbearers are Conville Lemoine and Michael Hesse. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Louisiana State Penitentiary. She was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church and attended Tunica Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Greensburg High School.
