An employee with Forensic in Jackson with 23 years of service, he died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 54 and a resident of Jackson. Visiting at Second Baptist Church, Jackson, on Friday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Dr. Mack Stewart. Burial in Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. He is survived by His mother, Nellie Carpenter, a daughter, Melinda S. Banks and husband Warren; two sons, Steve Wood Sagely II, and Scott W. Sagely and wife, Amanda; his loving companion of 10 years, Shirley W. Sibley; two brothers, Larry Sagely and Perry Sagely and wife Eileen; half siblings, Bobby Sagely, Dorothy Hampton, Betty Vaughan Calvin Sagely, Jennifer Travis and Patsy Sagely; six grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley, Destiny, Chassidy, Shaelyn and Noah; six nieces and nephews, Angela, Tianna, Perry II, Jeremie, Kyle and Kayla; and beloved dogs, Socks and Cocoa. Preceded in death by his father, Leonard Wood Sagely; and half brothers, Leonard Eugene Sagely, Charles Sagely and Clifton "Bo" Sagely. Pallbearers will be Larry Sagely, Perry Sagely, Perry Sagely II, Kyle Sagely, Phil Mullens and Tim Wyllie. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremie Sagely, James Wyllie, Curtis Wyllie, Mike Tate and Warren Banks.
